I had been writing my blog posts every couple of days due to most my days being meetings.  Well I couldn't wait 2 days this time.  So the nail bar party I told you about yesterday day? Yes I’m still alive.  Turns out it was for Pink Floyds kids birthday.  Room full of brit’s and a kids party reminiscent of MTV “My Sweet 16” Top Gaga impersonator that had the kids struggling for breath as they actually believed it was her.  Only in New York would an impersonator come with signed autographs 3 outfit changes and security.  Truth be told I had a ball.  I met a lovely family who have invited me to their ranch out of town to go riding.  They told me the train journey itself is quite something.  They live up the Hudson river.  Next time I’m over they said to bring my riding gear but this time they will lend me a hat.  So excited and as its bank holiday over here this Monday it works out perfectly.  At same said party I met a lovely girl called Abigail who was hosting a launch party for a Jamaican restaurant on West Houston Street.  She said to come along.  Didn’t take asking me twice to say yes so dropped kit off at hotel and ran straight there.  To be fair it was just like any Jamaican place in London but as there is nothing around here like this it’s the new place to be seen.  They had a dancehall DJ while famous artists, socialites and fashion fillies downed freshly made juices such as Coral Reef, made of coconut and jelly, Reggae Gold made with carrot, coconut and lecithin and my favourite (but not my stomach) Jamaican Green made with Kale, collard greens (whatever that is) green chard, celery, apple and ginger.  Detoxing on a Saturday night was not on my list but saying that it was a great party atmosphere and for a change I wasn't drunk after 10 minutes and wishing I hadn’t sent that last text.  Anyway after 3 hours of juices I was so hungry I actually had one of their  dishes.  Curried Goat.  Yeh that was clever.  Although at the time it tasted gorgeous, with all those juices AND a curry I felt like I had a part in “Bridesmaids”.

I digress, so got introduced to the owner.  Turns out he is opening one in Old Compton Street, Soho, London.  Things escalated and  Nail Rock are now teaming up with him for his fashion week party in New York.  The girls who worked there loved the ones I was wearing and I gave them all a set.  Will be getting to work with designing some this week ready.  I will tone down the food consumption while I’m there next time though.  People you meet and things that can happen all for saying YES.
